      Twenty case studies explore the challenge of governance in Latin America, China and Europe. They were posted online by researchers, who used the platform as a working tool. Also on the site are analyses of the background of each city. Young researchers' papers retrace the history of a controversy that has aroused conflict over an urban project. The Rio de Janeiro research team for the Making of Movement ran a seminar at the Brazilian Institute of Architects on August 17 and 18.

The programme included a lecture by Adriana Caula on “visions of the city and the future”, and a round table on the topic of the “Metropolitan City and Mobility” with Romulo Orrico, Joaquim Redig, Fabiana Izaga.

To learn more, find out about the ideas of the architect-planner Luiz Carlos Toledo who has developed travel solutions for inhabitants of the Rocinha favela based on their day-to-day, unofficial mobility strategies.
